I flew to New York on March 21. After my 2 hour subway adventure, I arrived to an Inn, hosted by a fellow hero. My intention was to go meet the GODS! People who would love this game, so I went to game stores all around Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Out of all places, I was able to just play in one beautiful establishment. I can’t to reveal it’s name, but lets just say that the employees are epic.
I cruised around the different tables. I saw games for 2, for 4, beer, coffee and vegan donuts. Finally, near the window I saw the GODS! They were a couple of friends that were ending their own game and I offered them to play. They used the newer version of the cards, just printed before my journey!
I gave them a brief explanation of how to play and were up for the challenge. I was super excited to see the card game being played for the first time outside of Ecuador, where it was created. They started trolling each other. We had laughs. We had moments of tension and really a good time. The gameplay was faster than the original version as the damage dealt per card increased dramatically. This made me realize, Legendary cards are overpowered AF.
Then I rented a table for more people to join and they would offer the new people coming to play for free. Many store members were hesitant to try something new. It is normal to be fearful of becoming a GOD, too much responsibility. I approached another couple that had majestic hair colors and ornamented robes. They decided to play. The best part is that it was one of the players’ birthday. What a better way to celebrate your birthday then with HoE Game Cards! We enjoyed every bit of it and I cannot wait to have more people play again.
