Thales the Water Elder

Hero's Lore

After losing his family to war, he dedicated himself to the ancient watercraft to protect what remains.

Can passion for nature lead to your demise or transformation? This is what happened to Thales. He was a humble farmer that lived in the country of Thunder & Water. He was in love, enthralled with a lagoon and a waterfall that was near his hometown. Every day as soon as the sun rose before doing his farming tasks, he would go to the waterfall try to listen to the nymphs. He had the idea of working with water and try to control it in a certain way.

He understood that there was the capacity to use water for good; to help him in the farm and protect his family. So, he trained diligently day and night but, there always was something missing he was never able to grasp. He went one day into the waterfall, but his intuition was telling him not to go. The love for nature was harder and he decided to push through even though the intuition said otherwise. After Thales had a good training (this time he even created a water bubble), He went to his crops and spent the whole morning, spring season ws here and he had to take good care of the hatchlings he just planted

Going back to his village, he saw a giant smoke cloud. He started worriying and jogging back but he saw something horrible. His house, his land, his home, out everything was burned to the ground. He grabbed the ashes of his wife and children and went into desperation. He heard a man screaming, went running to help but he only had half of his body. His last words were “curse by the lightning kingdom as they have destroyed our destiny our whole village. we shall be purified with freedom” Thales was enraged. He didn’t know what to do, so he ran away to his sacred space the waterfall. He cried for hours on end, about to lose his mind when water nymph appeared in front of him.

Asenkia, the nymph asked Thales to surrender to the element itself, and it would grant him powers, so he did. He devoted to training day after day. It didn’t feel like it, but 50 years had already passed. He had grown his hair white as well as his beard long and strong. When he felt he was ready, Thales went out and seek for revenge. His rage had created a water figure surrounding him at all times that would protect him against his enemies and drown then as soon as they were captured.

In the search for the bandits had that had destroyed his home he went all year long looking for them. He crossed seas, caves, jungles and cities. Everywhere he went there was no sign of them. He even reached the Thunder capital at night and went into all the taverns to look for culprits. Tired and drinking in the inn, he asked the barman about the bandits. He laughed and said that all of those were villains of the past. That they had already passed away or in their final breaths. This shook Thales to the core. He falt everything he trained for in the past 50 years was now for nothing. He had all this power and rage but no outlet to free it up.
